Police Investigate Possible Murder-Suicide In Monrovia

MONROVIA (CBSLA.com) — Police Friday investigated the circumstances surrounding the deaths of a man and woman in Monrovia.

Just before 2 a.m., officers were sent to a home located in the 100 block of North Grand Avenue for report of shots fired.

Upon their arrival, police located an adult man and woman -- both dead -- inside the home.

Authorities said they first found 37-year-old Wendy Wright suffering from multiple gunshots to the upper torso. Officers then found 35-year-old Cory Wricker near the rear of the location with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The couple were married for about a year and had no children.

Detectives said the deaths appeared to be a case of murder-suicide. The motive is unknown.

No one else was inside the home at the time of the victims death, authorities said.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500.
