Police In Long Beach Investigate Circumstances Surrounding Fatal Stabbing Of Man, 43

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com)   —  Homicide Detectives are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 43-year-old man in Long Beach Thursday morning.

Officials were dispatched to the 4900 block of Ferro Court around 6:30 p.m. They were responding to a call about a stabbing that had just occurred.

Upon arrival officers located a male adult with a stab wound to his upper torso.

Authorities said the alleged assailant remained on scene.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The man later died.

The deceased has been identified as Aaron Whatley, 43, of Long Beach.

No arrests have been made at this time, officials said.
