Handcuffed Suspect Nabbed After Police Say He Fled Hospital In La Palma

LA PALMA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a suspect has been captured after police say he managed to escape while being treated at a hospital in La Palma.

Police said Javier Anguiano, 30, of Santa Ana was apprehended in a residential area in La Palma hours after allegedly fleeing from La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in handcuffs.

Anguiano, according to police, was originally arrested on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle, and was being treated at the hospital for injuries from a crash.

Anguiano was expected to be booked at the La Palma Police Department and transferred to Orange County Jail.
