Police: Garden Grove Business Owner Busted For Buying, Selling Stolen Goods

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County business owner has been arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property.

Jose Solario Ortega, 41, was arrested after the Garden Grove Police Department's criminal apprehension team recovered numerous stolen items from Jose's Computers, 12038/12040 Chapman Avenue.

The department conducted several undercover sales of simulated stolen property, as they suspected stolen property was being purchased and sold at the store.

Several items, including cell phones, an iPad, a laptop computer and a mountain bike, were recovered. Officials also found two computer projectors that had been stolen from Wakeham School.

Authorities say they expect to find more stolen property as they continue their investigation.

Ortega was booked at the Orange County Jail.
