Police Find Bodies Of Twin 58-Year-Old Sisters In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (AP) — Long Beach police have discovered twin 58-year-old sisters dead in their home in an affluent neighborhood of Long Beach.

The Los Angeles Times reports that police checking on the sisters' welfare found their bodies just before 6 p.m. Saturday at the home on Naples Island.

Los Angeles County coroner officials have identified the sisters as Valerie Blackler and Diane Blackler. The women are both nurses.

The newspaper reports that coroner officials have determined that Valerie Blackler's death is a suicide, but are still investigating how Diane Blackler died.

No other information was immediately available.
