Police Continue Hunt For Suspect Who Murdered 98 Cents Store Owner, 62

EAST HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com)  — Authorities continue to hunt for the suspect who murdered the owner of a 98 Cents store in East Hollywood Tuesday.

The victim has now been identified as 62-year-old Yeprem Khotsuryan.

Police said that the suspect entered the store -- located in the 5000 block of Hollywood Boulevard -- before 12:10 p.m. and began firing in what they believe was a botched robbery attempt.

Northeast patrol officers responded to a radio call of an assault with a deadly weapon shooting.

Officials said Khotsuryan was shot multiple times.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect is described as a male, unknown descent, wearing a gray hoodie.
