Police Chase Suspect Wanted For Outstanding Felony On 5 Freeway

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Authorities chased a suspect on the 5 Freeway Sunday evening.

The chase started about 11:00 p.m. near Magic Mountain, officials said.

The suspect, in a white pickup truck,  was reportedly being chased for an undetermined felony want.

Kevin Takumi, reporting in Sky9, said the suspect told police she was headed to the Devonshire division, possibly to surrender.

She also reported the subject was driving "relatively slowly" throughout the chase.

The female suspect pulled her car into the parking lot of a police station in Hawthorne.

At least six patrol cars surrounded the vehicle.

After talking to the woman for about 20 minutes, the suspect got out of the vehicle.

Police ordered her to the ground and she complied.

She was taken into custody about 12:13 a.m.
