Police Ask Public For Information On Apparent Fight Along Venice Beach Boardwalk

VENICE (CBSLA.com) — Police are seeking more information from the public about a video showing an apparent fight along Venice Beach.

The alleged assault reportedly occurred on Tuesday near near the location of Ocean Front Walk and Westminister Avenue, according to the LAPD Pacific Area Police Station.

Police said they received multiple calls about the incident, but responding officers were unable to locate either the suspect or victim involved.

A video dated Aug. 26 posted on YouTube appears to show at least two males assaulting a third male while he was sitting in the middle of the street.

The apparent victim eventually gets free from the alleged assault and after exchanging profanities with the suspect(s), he eventually walks away from the scene, according to the video.

Police are currently working to identify the people involved and ask anyone with information to contact LAPD Pacific Area Detectives at 310-482-6313.
