Missing Ontario Girl, 15, Found Safe With Relative In Pomona

ONTARIO (CBSLA.com) — The Ontario Police Department says the 15-year-old missing Ontario teen has been found safe and sound.

Police were asking for the public's help in searching for the deaf and mute girl who was reported missing early Saturday morning.

Yesika Yadira Diaz-Gonzalez was last seen at her home on the 500 block of North Campus Avenue in Ontario at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, when she went into her bedroom. Family members noticed she was missing at about 5  a.m. and said it appeared she took a bag of clothes with her.

Gonzalez is a student at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside and frequents local parks and libraries in Ontario. Police said she might have been picked up by a car in the area near Campus Avenue and Holt Boulevard.

On Saturday evening, police announced that Diaz-Gonzalez was located at a relative's home in the city of Pomona.

She was found to be in good health and re-united with the original reporting party, police said.
