Police Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects At Santa Monica Airport

SANTA MONICA (CBSLA.com) — Two armed robbery suspects have been arrested in Santa Monica, police said on Tuesday.

Shortly after 5:30 a.m., officers located the robbery suspects on Pacific and Sunset boulevards, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers followed the suspects to the Santa Monica Airport where they were taken into custody.

According to police, authorities are possibly searching for an additional suspect.

Officers have not disclosed details of the robbery.

The airport tower has been placed on lockdown until further notice as a result of the investigation.

It remains unclear how this will impact the airport when it opens at 7 a.m., officials said.
