Plane Headed For Los Angeles From Austin Makes Emergency Landing

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.COM) — A plane on its way to Los Angeles from Austin, Texas, had to make an emergency landing Wednesday after its cabin lost pressure just after takeoff.

Delta Airlines Flight 5733 departed Austin at about 4 p.m., but after the plane's cabin lost pressure, the pilot dropped it to a lower altitude and circled the airport to burn fuel before landing again in Austin.

There were 76 people on board the flight.

It's not known when the passengers on that flight will be put on another plane to head to Los Angeles.
