Pit Bull Attack In Van Nuys Leaves Victim Hospitalized, Dog Owner Barricaded

VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com)  —   A pit bull attacked man in Van Nuys Thursday requiring the victim to be hospitalized.

Officials said the victim was seriously injured and had many cuts and bite marks to his face.

The attack occurred just before 5:15 p.m. outside a check cashing business in the 13000 block of Sherman Way, officials said.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky2, said following the attack the dog's owner took the animal and barricaded it and himself in a business.
