Pipe Bombs, Weapons Cache Found In Yorba Linda Home

YORBA LINDA (CBSLA.com) — Deputies serving a search warrant at a Yorba Linda home found pipe bombs and a cache of weapons inside, prompting an evacuation of surrounding homes.

The discovery was made around 8 p.m. Friday in the 4500 block of Via Del Valle, according to Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

It was unclear why deputies were serving the warrant.

They allegedly found unregistered assault rifles, along with several stolen items connected to vehicle burglaries in the area and documents related to identity theft, the OCSD reported.

The suspect was not at home when the search warrant was served.

No arrests were made.

Deputies ask anyone with information about the incident to contact investigators at (714) 647-7000.
