Online Petition Started In Support Of Teahouse In Griffith Park Constructed By Anonymous Artists

GRIFFITH PARK (CBSLA.com) — Griffith Park now has a teahouse.

A group of anonymous artists constructed it overnight Monday.

The teahouse is made from singed pieces of wood reclaimed from trees burned in the 2007 Griffith Park fire.

But rumors are circulating that the city's Department of Recreation & Parks is discussing taking it down.

An online petition has been started to save it.

CBS2 called the department and was told to check back in a week as no decision had been reached.
