PETA Ranks L.A. As Second Most Vegan-Friendly City In U.S.

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles is the place for vegans, according the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

The City of Angels ranks second out of the 10 most vegan-friendly cities in the United States in 2016, based on a list released Tuesday by the animal-rights group.

PETA says L.A. has more listings on HappyCow, a website that lists vegan-friendly restaurants and events, than any other U.S. city, except Portland, Ore.

"L.A. is home not only to an animal rights-related museum but also to PETA's West Coast headquarters, so you can rest assured that the vegan options have been thoroughly, um, tested," PETA wrote on its website.
