Stabbing Suspect Dies After Police Shooting In Long Beach

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say a person suspected of stabbing six people in Long Beach has been pronounced dead after a police shooting.

Long Beach police said officers responded to a call of an active stabbing in the 3200 block of E. Artesia about 8:17 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived on scene, they discovered that multiple victims had been stabbed.

All were transported to a hospital with injuries ranging from superficial to critical wounds.

Police said officers encountered the suspect and an officer-involved shooting occurred.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
