Pershing Square Winter Holiday Festival Gets Underway This Weekend

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —  It's free fun for the entire family and features a whopping 65 tons of "snow."

The Winter Holiday Festival kicks off Saturday at noon and features an ice skating rink, craft booths, family entertainment and photos with Santa.

"It's such a magical place to be at this time of year at this festival, just to go down there and be part of the urban part of Los Angeles," elf spokesman Philip Briggs told KCAL9's Amber Lee Saturday morning.

The two-day festival is organized by the city's Department of Recreation and Parks. For more information visit LAParks.org.
