Fans From Around The World Flock To Indio For 'Oldchella'

INDIO (CBSLA.com) — The three-day show that started Friday night has an all star line up of Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones and many more rock & roll greats.

Some fans fled hurricane Matthew for the show being called "Oldchella" a spin on Coachella, the other major desert show.

"We're waiting for our sister in law who escaped the hurricane in Virginia,"  a concert goer said. "She got the last seat in a plane and is due in in a couple hours."

Others came from as far away as Sweden and Mexico City.

One Lyft driver made the trek from Los Angeles hoping  trips around desert will be worth it.

"I came or from Sherman Oaks,"  Derek Bailey said. "I made it out here when Coachella was going and both weekends I made $2,300 dollars."

Some folks say they shelled out $4000 to$5,000 for tickets.
