Pedestrian killed in crash on 405 Freeway

A deadly crash forced the California Highway Patrol to close the 405 Freeway the day before Thanksgiving.

The collision happened in the carpool lane of the southbound 405 Freeway at roughly 10:10 p.m., according to the CHP. Officers said a car crashed into a pedestrian who was walking in the roadway.

Officers closed all but one lane immediately after the crash.
