Pedestrian Killed In Crash With Motorcycle In Redondo Beach

REDONDO BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police say a pedestrian was fatally struck by a motorcycle in Redondo Beach Friday morning.

The pedestrian, whose age and gender were not immediately disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which happened at about 5 a.m. at Torrance Boulevard and Camino Real, Redondo Beach police officials said.

The motorcyclist, who was not injured, remained at the scene and was interviewed by police. Alcohol and drugs were not considered to be a factor in the crash.

Traffic was directed away from the area while officers investigated the crash. Police said the eastbound lanes and one westbound lane of Torrance Boulevard at Camino Real are expected to be closed for at least three hours for the initial investigation.
