Man Fatally Struck By Vehicle On Wilshire Boulevard

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A male pedestrian was killed Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Los Angeles, authorities said.

The crash was reported just before 9 p.m. on Wilshire Boulevard, officials said.

The accident happened in the 6200 block of Wilshire, a heavily trafficked area between Fairfax Avenue and Crescent Heights Boulevard, LAPD Officer Jane Kim said.

Wilshire was closed between Fairfax and Crescent Heights while police investigate the accident, reported Sky9's Stu Mundel.

The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and La Brea Tar Pits are in the immediate vicinity.

The driver remained on scene.
