Pedestrian dead after being struck by multiple hit-and-run drivers in South Los Angeles

Police are investigating a pedestrian's death after they were struck by multiple hit-and-run drivers in the South Park neighborhood of South Los Angeles on Wednesday evening. 

They were dispatched to the 4500 block of S. Central Avenue and E. 46th Street at around 11:30 p.m. after learning of a crash involving three cars and a pedestrian, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. 

Investigators say that the pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was walking in the road when three cars traveling at high speeds struck him at different times. 

One of the drivers, the second to hit the victim, stopped to try and render aid but the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. 

They were unable to provide any information on the drivers or vehicles involved.
