'Paper Angels' To Premiere On UP Network Sunday

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Actress Josie Bissett visited the KCAL9 studios Tuesday to talk about "Paper Angels," a heart-warming original movie premiering on UP network.

The movie, also starring Matthew Settle, premieres this Sunday at 7 p.m.

Josie plays Lynn, the mother of two children, who recently escaped her alcoholic husband and is living in a small town working as a waitress to support her family.

As Christmas approaches, she knows she cannot afford gifts for her children. She learns about a program put on by the Salvation Army called The Giving Tree. The charity places Christmas trees in malls across the country.  Paper angels are placed on the tree requesting gifts by those less fortunate.  Shoppers can choose an angel and carry out their wishes, thereby helping to make the holidays a little brighter for others.

Lynn suggests her children put Paper Angels on the tree so they will have something to open up on Christmas morning. They agree, but unbeknownst to her, her 15 year old son, who is the victim of a teenage cyber bully, uses social media to encourage his whole school to become part of The Giving Tree.
