Pair Suspected Of Breaking Into Liquor Store In Garden Grove Weren't After Money

GARDEN GROVE (CBSLA.com) — A pair suspected of breaking into a liquor store in Garden Grove weren't after money but California Scratchers, authorities said.

Using rope tied to the hitch of their Astro van, police say two men ripped off the doors of Hanshaw Liquor Groceries in the 10000 block of Westminster Avenue in Garden Grove before 5 a.m. Monday.

"I think that's insane, you know? It's just a bunch of low life people who have nothing to do," said one customer.

Police were looking for the two men who were captured on video but had covered their faces.

They are also suspected of making off with a bottle of whiskey on their way out.

Anyone with more information on this case was asked to call the Garden Grove Police Department.
