Package Thief In Highland Caught On Video

HIGHLAND (CBSLA.com) — Police are searching for a man who was caught on video stealing packages from porches moments after UPS drops them off.

San Bernardino County Sheriff's detectives say a man was seen on surveillance video following a UPS truck while the driver made deliveries in the 28000 block of Foxtail Way in East Highland.

Moments after the UPS driver leaves the package on the porch of the residences, the suspect parks around the corner, gets out of his car and takes the packages from the porch, authorities said.

The suspect was described as a black man with a shaved head and a short braided goatee. He drove a newer model, maroon Nissan sedan, possibly an Altima or Maxima.

Because of the holiday season and increased number of packages being delivered, detectives believe there may be more victims. Anyone with information about the suspect or who believes they are a victim can call Detective Matthew Mayer or Sergeant Ryan Collins at (909) 425-9793.
