Oxnard Police Says Missing Girl, 8, Has Been Found And Reunited With Family

OXNARD (CBSLA.com)   —  The Oxnard Police Department says a missing 8-year-old girl has been found and reunited with her family.

Sylvia Mendoza had last been seen near the Walmart parking lot, located at 2001 North Rose Avenue.

Officials said it appears the child went into a restroom inside the Walmart. When she exited she was unable to find her family and likely believed they returned home to south Oxnard.

Mendoza was last seen walking east on Gonzales Road towards Rose Avenue.

No information was given about how and where she was found.

The girl was located around 6:40 p.m., police said.
