Oxnard Man Accused In Christmas Eve Street Robbery Arrested

OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — A 26-year-old man was in custody Thursday for allegedly participating in a street robbery last night.

According to the Oxnard Police Department, officers responded around 8:35 p.m. Wednesday to the 2300 block of North Oxnard Boulevard for report of an armed robbery by a suspect with a tire iron.

Once on scene, officers located the suspect, later identified as Christian Calderon, of Oxnard, entering a car.

The car was parked, and the victim was able to identify Calderon.

According to police, the victim's property, a cell phone, wallet, "vape pen" and car keys, were located inside the car.

Authorities said Calderon is a Post Release Offender. He was arrested for one count of armed robbery.
