LA Rams To Use Oxnard Fields For Spring Practices
OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Rams will use River Ridge Fields for their spring practices, city officials said Wednesday.
The agreement calls for the Rams to lease the city-owned fields for $510 per day from April 18 to June 17, totaling $31,110.
The team will also lease locker rooms at a cost of $680 per day from March 28 through June 24, spending a total of $59,840.
The city will provide utilities up to $1,500 per month and water costs. The Rams will provide maintenance, staff and other equipment.
River Ridge Fields are located adjacent to a Residence Inn by Marriott. Ram players are expected to stay at the hotel during the practices. Team meetings will also be conducted in the hotel.
The Dallas Cowboys are currently in their second year of a three-year agreement to use the fields for their training camp. Therefore, the Rams will need to seek a different site for their training camp.
The Oxnard City Council voted 5-0 late Tuesday night in favor of the agreement.
