Over 100 Firefighters Knock Down Large Structure Fire In Irvine

IRVINE (CBSLA) — Firefighters on Sunday knocked down a large warehouse fire.

Orange County fire officials said 100 firefighters battled the flames that broke out in a large commercial building in the 1800 block of Kettering Street.

"What we were confronted with in the beginning is a high volume of fire already through the roof when our units arrived," said Capt. Tony Bommarito of the Orange County Fire Authority. "The roof collapsed shortly after arrival due to the volume of fire. It was a very stubborn fire."

Officials say no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
