Dodgers Take On Arizona Diamondbacks On Opening Day

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Opening Day is underway at Dodger Stadium Tuesday afternoon.

The Los Angeles Dodgers took on the Arizona Diamondbacks in the first homestand of the 2016 season.

Sam Harris, lead singer of X Ambassadors, performed the national anthem, followed by a special ceremonial first pitch honoring Hall of Famer Vin Scully.

Fans were encouraged to arrive early to the stadium as hours of entertainment, including live music, will be provided leading up to the game.

The Dodger Stadium Express offered two services to Dodger Stadium -- the Dodger Stadium Express Union Station and the Dodger Stadium Express South Bay. Both are free of charge with a Dodger game-day ticket.

Uber will drop off passengers at any of the five entry gates during pregame hours. After the game, fans can be picked up at the dedicated Uber Zone in Lot 12.

This season marks the conclusion of Scully's career with the Dodgers after 67 years of broadcasting the games.
