Perris Man Suspected Of Stealing Belongings From Women He Met Online

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A 29-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of stealing belongings from at least three women he met online, police announced Tuesday.

According to the Riverside Police Department, Oscar Mandujano-Quinonez, of Perris, was taken into custody around 5 p.m. Monday after he went to a local park to meet a potential victim he had been communicating with online.

Mandujano was charged with two counts of grand theft, and was booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.

The investigation began in mid-November when Mandujano met with a woman he met online in Riverside.

While inside his vehicle, a silver Saturn, Mandujano created a ruse to get the victim to step out of the car.

Once the woman exited his vehicle, Mandujano fled at a high rate of speed with her purse and belongings.

A warrant was issued for his arrest in connection with a similar incident that occurred in Moreno Valley.

The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information about this case has been urged to contact the Riverside Police Department at (951) 235-7863.
