Person Rescued From Burning Building In East Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) – A person was rescued from a burning commercial structure in East Hollywood Tuesday morning.

At 11:17 a.m. Los Angeles Fire Department crews responded to a vacant commercial building at 326 N. Vermont Ave. to find the building engulfed in flames and smoke.

Firefighters rescued one person from the building and had the blaze extinguished within about 24 minutes.

The condition of the patient was not confirmed.

Vermont Avenue was closed between Oakwood Avenue and Beverly Boulevard.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
