Woman Stabbed To Death In Rancho Cucamonga Home, Father Arrested

RANCHO CUCAMONGA (CBSLA) – A 49-year-old woman was stabbed to death at an upscale home in Rancho Cucamonga Monday morning.

According to the San Bernardino Sheriff's Department, a male called and stated that he had stabbed his daughter at a home in the 6300 block of Elkridge Place.

The victim, 49-year-old Darlene Montes, was taken to the hospital where she died from multiple stab wounds.

Her father, 71-year-old Joe Edwards Montes, was arrested on suspicion of murder after police interviewed him and collected evidence at the scene. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center.

It was not confirmed whether the victim lived at the home.

Sheriff's officials did not confirm a motive in the killing.
