2 People Dead In North Hollywood Crash

NORTH HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA) - Two people died Saturday night and four others were injured when multiple cars crashed into each other.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday at 11000 W. Oxnard Street in North Hollywood. It was reported that a multiple-vehicle collision led one of the vehicles to careen into the building.

One person was standing on the sidewalk by his black SUV when he was killed. He was pronounced dead at the scene, three were freed from the vehicle and taken to trauma centers, where one of them died.

The second person that died was in a Saturn at the time of the crash, but it is unknown if he was the passenger or driver of the car, an LAPD officer said.

Two other people declined treatment after being evaluated at the scene.

The conditions of the other patients are not yet known. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
