Man Shot, Killed By Pomona Police

POMONA (CBSLA.com) – A man was shot and killed by Pomona police Wednesday evening after he himself reportedly shot and injured two other people.

The fatal shooting occurred at about 7 p.m. in the 900 block of North San Antonio Avenue, according to police.

Neighbors told KCAL9 that a tenant was being evicted when he shot and injured the apartment manager and the apartment manager's girlfriend.

Police responded and shot and killed the suspect, whose name was not immediately released. Neighbors said he had been unruly in the past.

The apartment manager and his girlfriend were airlifted to a hospital. At last report, they were stable, police said.

The exact circumstances of the police shooting and the number of officers involved was not confirmed.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department was investigating, per department protocol in officer-involved shootings.
