On-Duty LAPD Motorcycle Officer Struck By Vehicle In Hollywood

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — An on-duty motorcycle officer was recovering on Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle near the Hollywood Bowl.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a vehicle ran a stop light and collided with the officer's motorcycle on Monday as he attempted to enter the 101 Freeway from Highland Avenue.

Paramedics transported the officer to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries and evaluation of back pain. He has since been released.

The driver of the vehicle was not detained or arrested, and has been cooperating with the investigation.
