5,000-Gallon Oil Tank Burns In Ojai

OJAI (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are keeping watch on a burning 5,000-gallon oil tank in Ojai.

The fire was reported just north of Ventura County Fire Station 20 at 8:35 a.m. The tank reportedly contains 42 barrels of crude oil.

Authorities say they are letting the fire burn off, but because the tank has the potential to collapse on itself and spread the fire to the surrounding brush, additional resources have been requested.

No evacuations have been ordered.

Two workers were injured, but the extent of their injuries was not known.
