Officials ID Remains In Lomita Wall As Missing Woman's

LOMITA (AP) — Authorities have confirmed that human remains found walled up inside a Lomita apartment are those of a woman who vanished six years ago.

The Los Angeles County coroner's office announced Thursday that the remains are those of 37-year-old Raven Campbell. There's no immediate word on the cause of death.

The remains were found by cadaver dogs on July 2 after someone called the Sheriff's Department with a tip.

Family members say Campbell once lived in the apartment with a friend but vanished in July 2009, leaving behind her purse.

The friend later moved out.

The current occupants of the apartment also have been temporarily relocated.
