Police Fatally Shoot Domestic Violence Suspect In Bell

BELL (CBSLA.com) — Police Thursday investigated the circumstances surrounding a deadly officer-involved shooting in Bell.

The incident unfolded just before 9 a.m. near a 7-Eleven convenience store located in the 7100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.

Upon their arrival, authorities located a domestic violence suspect holding a knife in the parking lot.

According to police, the suspect was struck by gunfire and was transported to a hospital where he later died. His identity is being withheld pending family notification.

KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou reported three officers were involved in the shooting.

No officers were injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
