Police Shoot, Wound Man Armed With Knife In Reseda

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) – A man carrying a knife was shot and wounded by Los Angeles police in the San Fernando Valley neighborhood of Reseda Friday morning.

At 6:15 a.m. officers were called to the area of Victory and Reseda boulevards on a report of a disoriented man with a knife.

At some point, officers opened fire on the suspect. He was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries.

The circumstances which prompted officers to open fire on the man were not confirmed. A knife was recovered at the scene.

No officers were hurt. It's unclear if there was police bodycam footage of the shooting.

The LAPD Force Investigation Division is on scene investigating the incident, which is protocol with all officer-involved shootings.
