OC Soccer Coach Arrested For Lewd Acts With Girl

LAGUNA NIGUEL (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County girls' soccer coach has been accused of lewd acts with a girl.

Ronnie Gamez, 27, of Laguna Niguel, was arrested Wednesday and booked on suspicion of lewd acts on a minor, according to Gail Krause of the Orange County Sheriff's Department. Gamez is being held on $100,000 bail.

The alleged victim's parents contacted authorities when they found inappropriate communications between their child and Gamez, a soccer coach associated with several south Orange County club organizations, Krause said.

The inappropriate sexual relationship allegedly began in February and lasted until March.

The sheriff's department has asked for the public's help in identifying any other potential victims.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the sheriff's Special Victims Detail at (714) 647-7419.
