Eggo Whole Wheat Waffles Recalled For Possible Listeria Contamination

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — "Leggo" that Eggo – the Kellogg Company is recalling approximately 10,000 cases of its Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles for possible Listeria contamination.

The company says they have received no reports of illness yet. Listeria can cause short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea in healthy people, but it can be especially severe among pregnant women.

The affected product is the 10-count box of Kellogg's Eggo Nutri-Grain Whole Wheat Waffles, UPC Code 38000 40370, with a "Best If Used By Date" of NOV 21 17 or NOV 22 17.

Kellogg's says no other waffle products have been affected.

Customers who purchased the recalled product can discard it and contact Kelloggs for a full refund.
