Norwalk Transit Bus, Car Collide In Bellflower Leaving 6 Injured

BELLFLOWER (CBSLA.com)  —  Six people were injured Friday evening when a Norwalk Transit bus and car collided in Bellflower.

Officials said two of the injuries were critical and four were minor.

The accident occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Somerset Boulevard near Woodruff Avenue, according to authorities.

The two critical injuries were reportedly among the driver of the car and his/her passenger. Early reports from the scene said the passenger was the more critically injured of the two.

Stu Mundel, reporting in Sky9, said the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Some witnesses from the scene believed another vehicle was involved and was possibly racing the car that crashed into the bus at the time of the crash.
