3 Hurt In North Hills 405 Freeway Collision

NORTH HILLS (CBSLA.com) – Two people were ejected and a third was left trapped after a two-vehicle collision on the 405 Freeway in North Hills Monday evening.

The crash occurred at 7:47 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 405 at Nordhoff Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Two people were ejected and a third was trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters. The victims -- a 22-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman --  were taken to hospitals in critical condition, LAFD said.

A Sig Alert was issued just before 8 p.m. and several southbound lanes were closed.

The circumstances of the collision were not immediately confirmed.
