LA Woman Lists College Diploma On eBay For $50,000

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles woman has decided to sell her college diploma because it's "never been used to get a job before."

Stephanie Ritter listed the diploma from Florida State University on eBay for $50,000 and described it as in "mint condition."

"Why waste four years of your life going to a state school for a piece of paper when you can just buy mine?" she wrote in the ad.

She continued: "I graduated from Florida State University in 2011 and have yet to use my diploma, so save yourself the time and buy college experience."

The 26-year-old told BuzzFeed that she has $40,000 in student loans she hopes to pay off.

She says she is working as a personal assistant in the LA-area and hopes someone will buy her diploma and college experience to "validate my use of time between 2007-2011."

Ritter said on the ad that she received a bachelor of arts degree in theater from FSU and graduated cum laude.

She says the buyer will also get access to her college memories, including her Facebook album, for six months.
