Mysterious Death Of 24-Year-Old La Puente Woman Officially Ruled A Homicide

LA PUENTE (CBSLA.com)   —  Authorities on Friday officially ruled that the mysterious death of a 24-year-old La Puente woman was a homicide.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide detectives continue to investigate the death of Kassandra Salvador.

Detectives said Industry Sheriff's Station deputies responded to a call of a "person not breathing" in the 13200 block of Gyna Lane on Sunday around  8:40 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they found the victim lying on her bed unconscious and unresponsive. Salvador was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Sunday, her family told CBS2/KCAL9's Jennifer Kastner that Salvador went to bed healthy. As her body had no obvious signs of trauma, detectives called her death mysterious. They also ruled out suicide.

Later, they learned Salvador's vehicle was missing.
