Multiple people treated for burns at Woodland Hills high-rise electrical fire

Crews put out Woodland Hills high-rise electrical fire, three treated for burns

Three people are being treated for burns after crews put out an electrical fire in a Woodland Hills high-rise building Thursday morning.

Arriving Los Angeles Fire Department crews did not spot any flames or smoke coming from the 17-story building at Canoga Ave. and Erwin Street, but security informed them that fire alarms were going off on the 10th floor.

Power was out to the building, leaving firefighters to walk up 10 flights of stairs and battle the fire on the 10th floor in the electrical room, according to LAFD.  Workers struck the main electrical conduit for the building, which resulted in a fire, and three workers suffered burns to their arms and faces.

They were rushed to the hospital in serious condition.
