Muggy Weather Makes For Less-Than-Ideal Beach Day

MALIBU (CBSLA.com) — While thunderstorms brought flooding rains to areas of San Bernardino and northeastern Los Angeles County, the hot, sticky weather was also apparent at the beach on Sunday afternoon.

Art Barron spoke to beach-goers who had hoped to enjoy more typical Southern California weather, rather than the humid day they found.

"We got a bit of this fog, mist going on, moist, super humid weather," said Pierce Kilkenny who was camping at Point Mugu State Park with his family. "We're coming down here hoping for a Southern California sun."

Lifeguards were also on alert in case the weather took a turn for the worse.
