Mountain High Resort Opens For The Season

WRIGHTWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Mountain High Resort opened for the season Tuesday.

The combination of recent cold temperatures and improvements has allowed for the resort to put down 12 inches of new snow over the fast few days.

"We've added several new snow-making guns, our season pass sale is doing very well, and, with the hopes of a little El Nino snow, the stage is set for a great season," said Ben Smith, General Manger.

Mountain High will open with just one lower-mountain lift and trail accessing primarily intermediate terrain.

The mountain will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Thanksgiving. Night skiing and Tubing Park operations will be evaluated after that.

Early season rates are $45 for adults and young adults and $25 for children ages 7 to 12. Kids under six ski for free with a paying adult.
