Motorcyclist shot to death on Highway 14 in Lancaster

A motorcyclist was shot to death while on Highway 14 in Lancaster on Tuesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the motorcyclist died on the Avenue L onramp after the shooting which happened just before 3 p.m.

The victim has been identified as 37-year-old Henry Gonzalez, according to the Los Angeles Department of the Medical Examiner. 

Officers were initially called to the scene for a reported traffic collision, but upon arrival they found that Gonzalez had actually been shot.

There was no information provided on a suspect or a motive in the shooting. 

No arrests have yet been made.
